Discord Minigames Guide: Trivia Games in Your Event Channel

The minigame system brings small games to your chat channel at regular intervals. The bot posts a question and the first member to type the correct answer wins gold. You can see winners' stats and the server leaderboard with /minigames.

The game step by step

Game modes

Mode	How to play
Riddle	Type the answer to the riddle.
History Question	Type the answer to the history question.
General Knowledge	Type the answer to the general knowledge question.
Emoji Guess	Guess what the emojis describe.
Scrambled Letters	Find the word whose letters have been scrambled.
Song Lyrics	Complete the unfinished song lyric.
Movie Quote	Name the movie or series the quote comes from.
Fast Typing	Type the given text exactly, matching upper and lower case, as fast as you can.
Who Is Closer?	Guess a number. When time runs out, the guess closest to the right number wins.
Math Battles	The first to type the result of the calculation wins.

Answers are not case-sensitive; only Fast Typing requires an exact match.
In Who Is Closer? mode, only each member's first number guess counts.
If hints are on, the bot shows the first and last letter of the answer halfway through the time. Emoji Guess and Who Is Closer? don't give hints.

Rewards and streak bonus

The first person to type the correct answer wins the gold shown in the question; it goes straight to their balance. Reward amounts for each mode are the same on every server and are set by the bot team. You can find out how to spend gold in the Economy guide.

Streak bonus

If you win three games in a row, the reward for the third is doubled and your streak resets. If someone else wins in between, your streak starts over. Your best streak is saved in your stats.

Commands

`/minigames stats`

Shows your minigame stats on this server: wins, gold earned, current and best streak.

`/minigames leaderboard`

Lists the 10 members who have won the most games on the server.

Everyone in the channel can see the replies to these commands.

Setup

Step 1

In the dashboard, pick your server on the My Servers page.

Step 2

Open the Activity Boost System card.

Step 3

Choose the Game Channel, then set the answer time and the Game Modes to play.

Step 4

If you like, write server-specific questions under Add Your Own Questions.

Step 5

Click Save. Games start appearing in the channel shortly.

How often questions appear is the same for all servers and is set by the bot team.

Your own questions

Choose the question type, write the question and enter the accepted answers separated by commas (e.g. istanbul,1453). If a mode has at least one custom question, the bot asks one of yours whenever that mode comes up; otherwise it uses its own question pool. In Fast Typing mode, the text you write is itself the answer; in Math mode, you enter the result as the answer.

Channel permissions

The bot needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in the game channel; the question card is an embed. If question cards don't appear, check these permissions first.

Frequently asked questions

How often do questions appear?

The bot posts a question in the channel at set intervals. The interval is the same on every server and is set by the bot team.

Is there a penalty for a wrong answer?

No. You can try as many times as you like until time runs out. Only in Who Is Closer? mode does your first number guess count.

Do Turkish characters cause problems in answers?

No. "İ", "I", "ı" and "i" count as the same letter, and upper or lower case doesn't matter. Fast Typing is the exception; you have to type the text exactly.

Where does the gold I win go?

Straight to your gold balance. You can check it with /balance and spend it in the shop.

What happens if I turn the system off?

If you turn off the Activity Boost System in the dashboard, no questions are posted and the /minigames commands don't work. When you turn it back on, games pick up where they left off.

No questions appear in the channel

Check that a Game Channel is selected, at least one game mode is on, and the bot can send messages in that channel. After saving, the first question may take a little while to arrive.

Open the Activity Boost System card in the dashboard, choose a game channel and save. The first question arrives shortly.
