The Welcome System sends a welcome message to the channel you choose for every member who joins your server. The same system also posts a leave message in a separate channel for members who leave.

In the window above you first see the visual welcome card, then the welcome message that lands in the channel: the text written by the server owner, the member count and when the account was created. A few minutes later Leo leaves and the leave message comes in.

What lands in the channel?

With the visual card off, the welcome is sent like this: your message, the member count and when the account was created. With the visual card on, an image is added next to the message. In both cases, Shop and Inventory buttons sit at the bottom.

Card editor

The dashboard has a live preview of the card. You can drag texts to move them with left click and resize them with right click. Reset Positions puts everything back in its default place; Grid helps with alignment.

If the member has bought and activated a background, font or avatar frame from the Shop, the welcome card is drawn with them. So each member's card can look a little different.

With the registration system

If at least one step (verification, name, birthday or gender) is on in the Registration system, the welcome is sent not when the member joins but when they complete registration or a staff member approves them.

Frequently asked questions

Is a leave message sent for kicked members too?

No. No leave message is sent for members kicked by staff or a bot; only members who leave on their own are seen off.

Can welcome and leave messages go to the same channel?

Yes. The two channels are separate settings; you can pick the same channel for both. If the Leave Channel is left empty, no leave message is sent.

What happens if the DM can't be sent?

If the member has DMs turned off, the DM is skipped; the welcome in the channel is still sent.

Can I send only text instead of a visual card?

Yes. If you uncheck the Send Visual Card box, the welcome is sent as text along with the member count and account age.

Are bots added to the server welcomed too?

No. If the account that joined is a bot, no welcome or DM is sent.

The welcome message never arrives

Make sure the Welcome Channel is selected and the bot can send messages and attach files in that channel. If the registration system is on, the welcome waits until registration is complete.
