Rewind sums up your year on this server in one card. When you type /rewind, the card is shown only to you first; whether you share it or not is up to you.

What does it show?

The card isn't the same for everyone. If there isn't enough data for a section, that section isn't shown at all; someone who never used voice channels won't get a voice section.

  • Your active days, message count and busiest hours
  • The person you talked to most and your voice channel buddy
  • Your level journey and economy activity
  • Time spent in voice channels and the games you played
  • Your most played song, total listening time and the artists you discovered during the year
  • Achievements you earned this year; hidden achievements unlocked for the first time get their own announcement

Which year opens?

/rewind opens this year by default. In January and February, it shows the year that just ended. For another year, use the yil option.

Commands

Monthly mini recap

With a command like /rewind month:8 you see that month's active days, messages and voice summary. You can also turn on the monthly recap DM in /privacy; when it's on, last month's recap arrives by DM in the first days of each month.

Privacy: who can see it?

You choose how much of the card can be shared in /privacy → Year in Review. The default is Private.

  • Partner name (off by default): should the name of the person you talked to most be shown in the shared video? The partner name is never shown on the shared card.
  • Exact balance (off by default): when off, the shared card shows only your percentile instead of your gold amount.
  • Monthly recap DM: a short recap of last month at the start of each month.

Opting out deletes data

The Opt out and delete my data button doesn't just set a flag: your yearly Rewind row, duo card records and consents on this server, and the achievements you earned on this server, are deleted. It takes two steps; nothing is deleted until you confirm.

You have the final say on sharing

No card or video is ever posted to a channel on its own. When you click Share, a preview first lists what will be visible; if you click Cancel, nothing is sent. If you changed your settings after the preview, the bot shows the updated preview again.

When does it arrive?

  • /rewind can be used at any time during the year; data is collected every night.
  • At the end of the year, the bot sends Year in Review by DM to members who were active enough (at least 5 active days). It isn't sent to people who opted out of Rewind.
  • If the server admins chose a recap channel, the server-wide recap is also posted there a few days after the personal recaps.

For admins

Whether Rewind is on, data collection, video generation and the year-end DM dates are managed by the bot owner for all servers. Two server-specific settings are in the Community Panel:

In the dashboard, pick your server on the My Servers page and open the Community panel shortcut.

The Community Panel is tied to the same plan as the AI Analytics Center. Members don't need a plan to use /rewind.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my card show some sections?

Each section has a data threshold. For example, the voice section needs at least 60 minutes of voice during the year, and the games section at least 2 hours of play. Sections below the threshold are skipped.

Why is there no share-in-channel button?

Your visibility is Private or Friends. If you choose Public in /privacy → Year in Review, the button appears.

What happens if I decline a friend's duo card request?

The card isn't created and the same request can't be sent again for 30 days. If you don't respond, the request quietly expires after a few minutes and leaves no permanent record.

Does my name appear in the server recap?

The /rewind-server card has no personal data. Every group stat is based on at least 3 different people, and no server recap is created on servers with fewer than 5 eligible members.

Why doesn't Create video work?

Video generation is a separate feature the bot owner turns on. If it's off, the bot tells you; the card itself always works.

I get "Rewind is not enabled on this server yet"

Rewind is turned on centrally by the bot owner. Until then, the command doesn't produce a card.

I get "Not enough data yet"

There isn't enough activity for that year. If it's early in the year, try last year with the yil option; if you opted out of Rewind, opt back in from /privacy.

See your year

Type /rewind on your server. Go to the Community Panel to choose the server recap channel.
