The economy is the system where you earn money as you chat and spend time in voice on your server. It is on automatically on every server; admins don't set anything up. You see your balance with /balance, send gold to others with /send and track your daily quests with /quests.
Three currencies
The economy has three separate currencies. Each one comes from a different place and goes to a different place:
| Currency | How to earn it | Whose it is | Where it is spent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | Messages, voice, daily quests, mini games, treasury chest | Yours. The same balance on every server | Market, /send, paid giveaways |
| Silver | Messages and voice (quietly, at the same time as gold) | The server's. Goes straight to the treasury | Not spent; when the treasury fills up, a reward chest opens |
| Diamonds | By buying a diamond package on the dashboard | Yours. The same balance on every server | Market |
Silver doesn't go into your pocket
Every moment you are active, you earn silver for the server's treasury, but that silver is not a balance of yours. You can find out how the treasury fills and what comes out of the chest in the Server Treasury guide.
How to earn gold
- Messages: Your messages bring a random amount of gold. There is a cooldown between consecutive messages; not every message counts.
- Voice: You earn gold at regular intervals in a voice channel. It doesn't count if your microphone is off or you are alone in the channel apart from bots.
- Daily voice streak: A streak bonus comes with the first voice reward of the day. If you are in voice every day, the streak grows and the bonus increases; if you skip a day, the streak goes back to 1.
- Daily quests: Each quest in the
/questslist gives gold, and an extra bonus comes when all three are done. - Mini games: The first person to answer a question in the event channel wins gold. Details in the Mini Games guide.
- Treasury chest: If a "gold drop" comes out of the server treasury, everyone who contributed to the treasury that round gets gold.
Amounts, cooldowns and daily caps are the same on every server and are set by the bot team.
Economy step by step
Commands
/balance [kullanici]
Shows your balance card: gold, diamonds and your treasury contribution on this server. You can also look at another member's card.
/send user miktar
Sends gold to a member. The fee is taken from the amount; you can't send to yourself or to a bot.
/quests
Shows your quests for today and the bonus status.
/leaderboard
Gold, XP, voice, message and treasury contribution leaderboards. Details in the Leaderboards guide.
Your balance is the same on every server
Your gold and diamonds are tied to your account, not to the server. Gold you earn on one server also shows when you type /balance on another server. Treasury contribution, however, is specific to each server.
Daily quests
Every day you get three quests on each server. Targets are picked at random each day, and the reward grows as the target gets bigger. The bars on the /quests card show your progress.
| Quest | Possible target | How it counts |
|---|---|---|
| Send messages | 20, 30 or 50 messages | Every message you send on the server |
| Stay in a voice channel | 10, 15 or 30 minutes | Minutes in which you earn voice gold (microphone on, not alone in the channel) |
| Listen to songs | 3, 5 or 10 songs | Songs the music bot played for at least 20 seconds, while you were in the channel at the start and the end |
When a quest is done, its reward goes to your account right away and you also earn XP. When all three quests are done, the bonus is given automatically and the bot posts it in the channel where you finished the quest; you don't need to type a separate command. Quests reset every day.
Gold transfers
With /send, a fee is taken from the amount you send and the rest goes to the other person. The fee rate is shown on the card. If the amount is so small that nothing is left for the other person after the fee, the transfer isn't made.
You can do the same thing on the dashboard with the Gold Transfer button on the Market page. There you find the recipient by their Discord ID; a 5% transaction fee is added on top of the amount you send and deducted from your balance separately.
Transfers can't be undone
The gold you send goes into the other person's balance immediately. If you send it to the wrong person, the bot can't reverse it; check the person before sending.
Diamonds
Diamonds aren't earned by chatting. They are bought in the Diamond Packages section of the Plans page on the dashboard; some plan purchases also come with bonus diamonds. With diamonds you buy items from the Market.
Economy, treasury and market: which is which?
/balance, /sendThis guide explains how money is earned. For the treasury and chest where silver collects, see the Server Treasury guide; for what you can buy with gold and diamonds, see the Market and Inventory guide.
For admins
The economy is on for every server and can't be turned off per server. There is no separate economy card on the dashboard: gold amounts, cooldowns, the fee and the quest bonus are set globally for all servers. As the server owner, here is what you can do:
- Choose the channel where the announcement goes when the treasury reaches its goal, and open the chest (Server Treasury).
- Turn on mini games to give members another way to earn gold (Mini Games).
- Set up giveaways with an entry fee or a minimum balance requirement (Giveaways).
Economy events can go to a log channel
Earning, spending and transferring gold are recorded as separate events in the log system. If you like, you can route them to a log channel; details in the Logs guide.
Frequently asked questions
Do I earn gold with every message?
No. The message reward has a cooldown; messages you send before it ends don't bring gold. So sending lots of short messages in a row doesn't increase your earnings.
Why can't I earn gold in voice?
If your microphone is off (muted by yourself or by the server) or there is no other real member in the channel, no voice reward is given. In that case the voice minutes in your quests don't progress either.
What does "Contribution" on the /balance card mean?
It is the total silver you have earned for this server's treasury so far. It isn't a balance you can spend; it shows how much you have contributed.
Is my gold valid on other servers too?
Yes. Gold and diamonds are tied to your account; you see the same balance on every server the bot is on. The weekly gold leaderboard, however, is kept separately for each server.
Do I need to type something to get the quest bonus?
No. The moment the last of the three quests is done, the bonus goes to your account and the bot posts it in the channel.
I get the error "You don't have enough gold!"
The amount you want to send is more than your balance. Check your balance with /balance and try a smaller amount.
